Colombia expresses solidarity with Cuba after Hurricane Ian

Bogota, Sep 28 (Prensa Latina) Colombian government on Wednesday expressed its deepest solidarity with the Cuban people after recovering from the passing of monstrous Hurricane Ian across Cuba.

‘The Colombian government sends a solidarity message to the Cuban people as a result of the passing of Hurricane Ian, and will be attentive to requirements of Colombian compatriots, especially students residing in Cuba,’ the Colombian Foreign Ministry posted on Twitter.

Hurricaqne Ian, which hammered close to Las Canas beach, in the south of the western province of Pinar del Río, generated heavy gusts of winds, such as the one (218 km/h) reported at the San Juan y Martínez meteorological station.

Most significant rainfall levels were reported in the municipalities of Pinar del Río, San Juan and Martínez as well as in Isabel Rubio town.
