For the achievement of success in the work, the harvest and threshing were developed in the Asian country as stipulated in the policy recently approved by the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) for the area and under organizational measures of the bodies specialized in these tasks, according to a report by the ACNC news agency.

In conjunction with the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, as well as the mechanical industry and railway transportation sectors, the Cabinet and the State Planning Committee commissioned the supply of necessary electric power, the production of agricultural machine parts and the transportation of materials to the field.

The officials of the Committee of Agriculture and other bodies of the sector concentrated all the means, which are efficiently used on the farms, the news agency detailed.

In recent days, officials and workers of the DPRK took part in the sowing of wheat and barley which is in the autumn stage under the technical supervision of the Agriculture Committee.

In Cholsan and Nyongbyon counties of North Phyongan Province, special attention was paid to the preparation of seeds depending on the weather and soil, while the villagers in North and South Hwanghae provinces prepared the land, made organic fertilizer and repaired defective seed drills, the ACNC said.

The government also delivered to farms in South Hwanghae Province 5,500 new agricultural machines such as rice and corn threshers, small-sized harvesters, and land preparation machines to boost grain production.
