A computer security incident response team from the Ministry of the Interior intervened to solve the problem.
The official web pages of the Ministry of the Presidency, Social Development and Family, Finance, Education, Justice and Human Rights, Sports, Labor and Social Security, among others, remained inaccessible this morning.
This massive shutdown also affected the National Institute of Statistics, and is in addition to other recent incidents, such as the infestation with encrypting viruses of numerous computers of the Justice Ministry.
The consequences of the leak of some 400,000 emails from the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Chilean Armed Forces, currently under investigation by the military and civilian justice system, are also latent.
The hacking attack on the army occurred in May, but it was in September when the full extent of the event was known.
