Cuban Government underscores Venezuela’s support after hurricane

Havana, Oct 3 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel today highlighted the Venezuelan government's delivery of aid to repair the enormous damage caused by Hurricane Ian, which hit western Cuba last week.

In his Twitter account, the president said that ‘Venezuela began a solidarity operation to Cuba; once again the solidarity of the Venezuelan brothers’.

On the same social network, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero highlighted this significant support, and after expressing that ‘we are grateful for every sign of solidarity from the Bolivarian government’, he concluded with the hashtag CubaNoEstaSola (CubaIsNotAlone).

The day before, the Carmita and Karola Sky motorboats left the port of La Guaira for Cuba, carrying 400 000 food modules, 50 electrical transformers, conductor cables and more than 22 000 square meters of zinc sheets, to repair the roofs of houses damaged by the hurricane.
