International Transport and Logistics Fair opens in Havana

Havana, Oct 4 (Prensa Latina) The International Transport and Logistics Fair (FITL 2022) was inaugurated today in Havana with the presence of Cuba's Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo and the head of the sector Eduardo Rodriguez.

At the Pabexpo fairgrounds, the event welcomes businessmen from 12 countries, representatives of national and Cuban non-state management entities and Cubans living abroad to promote business opportunities, cooperation projects and investments.

The fair will favor the consolidation of existing projects or those under negotiation in a sector hard hit by the U.S. blockade, in order to provide better transportation to the population.

To that end, producers, service providers and traders from Mexico, Venezuela, Belgium, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, the Netherlands and Italy will be present with their offers, and about 52 exhibitors from Cuba.

In addition, the portfolio of foreign investment projects in transportation and project management for international cooperation in the sector will be presented.

On the other hand, Cubana de Aviación will announce new cargo routes and the Cuban Aviation Corporation will promote its actions to increase operations for tourism.

The launching of the new higher education program in Transportation Engineering is also planned, as well as a specialized business round to showcase the progress of the naval, railway and automotive industries.
