Ukraine uses anti-personnel mines supplied by NATO

Moscow, Oct 4 (Prensa Latina) Ukrainian troops began using DM1399 antipersonnel mines supplied by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Donetsk authorities denounced.

The mines have been classified by international organizations as prohibited weapons; however the Ukrainian government spreads them in the manner of cluster munitions, covering extensive territories, the government and humanitarian organizations of Donetsk stressed, as reported by the Rossiiskaya Gazeta newspaper.

Even though the explosives are anti-tank by definition, civilian vehicles or even a careless person can trigger them, which is why some experts classify them as prohibited weapons.

Zelensky’s troops used these mines against civilians, specifically in a village on the outskirts of Donetsk, according to reports.

According to locals, DM1399 mines were spread by projectiles launched by MARS II (M270) multiple rocket launchers.
