Cubans in France donate toys for children victims of hurricane Ian

Paris, Oct 7 (Prensa Latina) Members of the Cuban state missions in France, headed by Ambassador Otto Vaillant, delivered here to Prime Minister Manuel Marrero toys donated for children in territories of the island hit by Hurricane Ian.

Ambassador Vaillant explained to the Prime Minister that this is a small but loving gesture on behalf of the children of the mission, as a first step in the objective of supporting the victims of Ian in such difficult times.

He also highlighted the solidarity with Cuba in France of associations, unions and individuals, translated into the sending of containers and donations and the transfer of money in the face of events such as the fire at the Supertanker Base in Matanzas and the hurricane itself.

Marrero acknowledged the initiative and pledged to deliver the toys in the coming days in the western province of Pinar del Río, severely hit by Ian.

The Prime Minister affirmed that he was touched by the solidarity shown in recent weeks, both among Cubans and from abroad.
