In his regular press briefing, the senior official warned that Washington and its allies are trying to force Iran to give more concessions.
“Iran’s internal issue is related to the government and the people,” Kanaani said adding that the United States and the European countries are linking the nuclear negotiations to the recent riots in the country.
He reiterated the Iranian Government’s willingness to continue negotiations to resume the 2015 nuclear deal if the sanctions on Tehran are removed as the agreement envisages.
“The governments advising Iran for violence against protests allow the protesters in their own countries to attack Iran’s embassies that have diplomatic immunity,” he stressed.
The spokesman recalled the attack on Iran’s Embassy in London and those actions set precedents in the United Kingdom.
He previously urged the British Government to protect the Iranian missions under its international obligations.
