Protesters strongly rejected such punitive measures against Venezuela, which really harm the Venezuelan people and the native peoples.
“We´re direct victims of this criminal blockade imposed by other nations,” one of the female representatives said.
The Wayuu people, on the other hand, thanked Commander Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) and President Nicolás Maduro for vindications reached with the Bolivarian Revolution.
A representative of the Kari’ña people thanked the constitutional benefits such as the Language Law, the right to land and others, achieved since 1999.
“You can count on our people” for the votes in coming elections, they said, referring to the 2024 presidential elections.
The measures have affected us in everything, socially and economically, and we want this blockade to stop in order to strengthen our peoples, another native representative said.
