At least 20 people die in Syria due clashes among terrorists

Damascus, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) At least 20 people, including civilians and militants, lost their lives in clashes between two terrorist groups in the north of the province of Aleppo, some 450 kilometers north of the capital.

The local media reported that the clashes took place in the towns of al-Bab and Efrin between the al-Shamia Front and Hamzat Division groups, both supported by the Turkish government.

Small arms, tanks and heavy artillery were used in the fighting, causing material damage to civilian property, who went into hiding, while shops and schools were closed, sources reported.

Images released by both sides showed dozens of dead, and the activists accounted for three civilians and 17 radicals killed, while 31 extremists were wounded.

The Organization for the Liberation of the Levant, formerly Al-Nousra Front, on the international terrorism list, sent reinforcements from its stronghold in Idlib to support the Hamzat Division, its ally, to help the latter to take control of the towns of Jenderis and Efrin.

Internal clashes between armed groups are very frequent in areas where the Turkish forces are illegally present, in particular aiming at distributing areas of influence and looted civilians goods.
