Agenda of the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China announced

Beijing, Oct 15 (Prensa Latina) Officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) announced today the agenda of the 20th Congress of that body, which will run from tomorrow until next day 22 in this capital.

Sun Yeli, spokesman for the great event, confirmed at a press conference that the opening ceremony will start this Sunday at 10:00, local time, at the Great People’s Palace in Beijing with the intervention of the general secretary of that force and president of the country, Xi Jinping.

Later in the afternoon, delegates will begin the sessions with the presentation and analysis of the CPC Central Committee’s report on the management and achievements of the past five years.

In the following days, they will review the report of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, before deliberating and voting on the draft amendments to the Party’s constitution.

This last document is the most important point of attention, because it seeks to put the CCP in tune with the new situation and the tasks that will allow it to promote socialism with Chinese characteristics.

These changes should also fully represent the most recent sinization of Marxism, new concepts of governance and experiences in the accession and strengthening of the CCP.

Finally, the forum will elect the members of the 20th Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the party’s disciplinary body.
