As a result of a high-precision attack of the Russian forces on the temporary deployment point of the Ukrainian 65th Mechanized Brigade preparing the assault on Zaporozhie, more than 160 Ukrainian servicemen were eliminated, the spokesman reported in his usual part to the press on Saturday.

Konashenkov also said that the Russian army repulsed all attempts of the Ukrainian troops to attack on the Nikolayev-Krivoye Rog direction, causing more than 120 casualties to the attackers.

At the same time, the crossing of a tactical group of a company of the Armed Forces of Ukraine across the Oskol River was interrupted near the settlement of Dvurechnoye in the Kharkov region, the military spokesman said.

On this occasion Russian troops carried out an air and artillery strike that eliminated more than 30 Ukrainian soldiers, four armored vehicles and two pickup trucks, Konashenkov noted.

The spokesman also assured that the strikes by operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery hit four command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 53 artillery units in firing positions, military personnel and equipment in 142 areas.

Finally Konashenkov reported that the Russian anti-aircraft defense shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft and destroyed 18 HIMARS and Olja multiple missile launcher shells, as well as two HARM anti-radar missiles.
