According to a communiqué from the union, the decision was made due to the ‘lack of proposals and real commitment’ on the part of the UASD Rector Editrudis Beltran to their demands for the adjustment of travel expenses.

‘The assembly approved a strike (indefinitely) and decided that it will be until a concrete and satisfactory response is obtained,’ Federation President Pastor de la Rosa said.

The strike, including classroom and virtual teaching, starts on Wednesday, while travels will continue being paralyzed and the controls will not be signed.
