The opening ceremony was held at the Pyongyang Railway Station Warehouse, to which Vice-Premier Ri Song Hak, Minister of Light Industry Jang Kyong Il, officials, professors, researchers, technicians, and members of the exhibiting entities participated.

The exhibition includes more than 100,000 items of over 1,000 varieties produced at the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory, Ryuwon Footwear Factory, and other units, and over 60 research data reached in the footwear industry.

During the event, there will be a presentation of scientific and technical successes and an academic seminar for technical and experience exchange between production entities and scientific research bodies.
