Organized by the Ciego de Avila branch of the Union of Computer Scientists of Cuba (UIC), the meeting seeks to strengthen the use of the Internet among citizens and raise the population’s culture for its useful and responsible use.
UIC President in this province, Duniesky Dorta, said that at a time when the country is betting on digital transformation, this event will allow, from the collective construction, to outline strategies to advance in this endeavor and make visible the challenges of the new technological scenarios.
It will also be an opportunity to discuss the Digital Agenda in Cuba; innovation and local development with inclusion and equity; the Digital Economy; information, communication, knowledge and ethics on the Internet; and cybersecurity and data protection, Dorta said.
The forum will promote a better use of available connectivity to increase efficiency, work productivity, knowledge and quality of services, boost local development and stimulate comprehensive innovation in communities.
