Hungary and Georgia sign strategic partnership agreement

Budapest, Oct 27 (Prensa Latina) Prime Ministers of Hungary and Georgia, Viktor Orban and Irakli Garibashvili, respectively, on Thursday agreed to establish a strategic partnership between both countries.

The signing ceremony of this document was broadcast live on television in this capital.

Garibashvili said after the negotiations with his Hungarian counterpart that he believes that the already close cooperation and very good friendship between them will be further strengthened, as this will additionally boost Hungary-Georgia relations.

Hungary and Georgia established diplomatic relations in May 1992.

According to the source, the trade turnover between both countries from January to September, 2022, amounted to 42,004,000 dollars, 16.6 percent more than in 2021.
