On the 63rd anniversary of Camilo Cienfuegos’s death, the Bolivian politician evoked on his Twitter account a phrase by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro (1926-2016), ‘There are many Camilos in the people.’
‘And Camilo will continue to live in other men like him, he will continue to live in the men who are inspired by him,’ Llorenti pointed out.
His tweet was accompanied by an audiovisual that collects the last speech given by the commander of the Rebel Army, on October 26, 1959, before more than a million compatriots in front of the former Presidential Palace.
Cienfuegos said at the time, ‘On our knees, on our knees we will be once, and once we will bow our foreheads and it will be the day we reach the Cuban land that holds 20,000 Cubans, to tell them, Brothers, the Revolution is done, your blood did not run in vain!’
