Russian ambassador denies US accusations on food issue

Anatoli-Antonov
Moscow, Oct 30 (Prensa Latina) The Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoli Antonov, said that Washington's accusations against Moscow of aggravating the world food problem are false.

Antonov declared that it is unfair to condemn Russia for the suspension of the grain agreement, since the reason is the reckless actions undertaken by Kiev.

Again, it all boiled down to false accusations against Russia in worsening the world food problem, the report said.

The statement adds that, “in the face of attacks and provocations against Russian military personnel and merchants involved in the Black Sea initiative, we cannot continue to work without paying attention to security issues.”

“As for the hints about causing famine, we would like to recall our repeated calls to send food shipments mainly to countries in need, yet a good part of all cargo ships under the grain scheme went to developed countries,” adds the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that its ambassador in Washington described the reaction of the US authorities to the terrorist attack in the port of Sevastopol as “outraged”.

The diplomat added that Russia did not see any condemnation of the reckless actions of the Kiev regime, and there was an outright ignorance of the signs of the participation of British specialists in the organization of the attack, which saw the use of multiple drones.
