Pakistan to boost climate reparations at COP27

Pakistan to boost climate reparations at COP27

Islamabad, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) Pakistan hopes to take concrete measures in the next UN Conference on Climate Change in order to force the world's largest polluters to pay the damages to the countries affected by global warming.

The COP27 Climate Summit will be held between November 6th and the 18th, in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egyp. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif is expected to attend, the Express Tribune newspaper reported.

President of Egypt and COP27 Chairman Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi invited Sharif to preside over the COP27 together with the Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store.

Pakistan expects to join other developing countries in demanding climate reparations, an issue that rich nations have pushed off the agenda in previous years.
