Türkiye assures efforts to resume grain agreement

Ankara, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) Turkish authorities are making efforts to resume the implementation of the grain agreement in connection with the suspension of Russia's participation in it, the official representative of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), Omer Celik, announced today.

Celik added, that Türkiye, at the level of presidents and ministers, is making all possible efforts to get the agreements back on track.

Russia reported on October 29 that due to the Ukrainian attack with the participation of British specialists on ships of the Black Sea Fleet and other vessels ensuring the security of the grain corridor, the Russian side temporarily suspended participation in the agreements on the export of agricultural products from Ukrainian ports.

Today Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to hold telephone talks with his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky on the issue.

Our president intends to hold talks with Putin and Zelensky in the coming days, as he is directly involved in the matter and we believe in the resumption of the agreement, which will be beneficial, he said.
