According to an official statement from the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers, Meloni will hold a meeting with Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, at 4:30 p.m. local time.
Later, at 5:30 p.m. local time, she will meet with the number one of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, and at 7:00 p.m. local time she is scheduled to meet with Charles Michel, President of the European Council.
According to a report in IlSole 24 ORE, the issues to be discussed with the highest representatives of the regional community include the conflict in Ukraine, the energy crisis and the implementation in Italy of the EU’s National Recovery Plan.
