Special forces and armored vehicles were also deployed at the base of the so-called Kosovo police, located one kilometer from the administrative junction.
Earlier, Serbians from Kosovo and Metohija withdrew from all institutions of power in that region, while Goran Rakic, their leader in the province, submitted a request to withdraw from the Kosovar Government.
Serbian lawmakers promptly announced their withdrawal from Parliament, followed by judges and municipal leaders.
