Live reports on public television indicated that the talks began yesterday at around 14:00 local time and ended in the early hours of Tuesday morning, following an understanding between the parties.
Meanwhile, the Angolan press agency (Angop) reported the suspension of the work stoppage as a result of an agreement with the employers, who promised to resolve 90 percent of the demands.
The demands, presented to the Health Ministry in 2021, include salary increases, better working conditions, professional categorization and payment of subsidies to nurses directly involved in preventing and combating the Covid-19 pandemic, according to media reports.
According to Lutucuta, the union will mobilize its members to resume services this Thursday, published Angop.
