According to the National Health Commission, the ban on airlines carrying infected passengers on international routes has been lifted, and individuals only need to present negative results of a PCR test performed 48 hours before the flight to China.
The Government reduced centralized lockdowns to five days and home quarantine to three days for those arriving from abroad, with no need for further observation if they have to move to different parts of the country.
China will stop tracing secondary contacts of Covid-19 patients, only classify as high or low the places at risk of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, and will eliminate such classifications if no new patients are detected within five days.
Chinese authorities ordered local authorities to increase stockpiles of drugs and equipment, set up more intensive care units, expand immunization levels, and speed up the development of multivalent Covid-19 vaccines.
They also pledged to fight malpractices, excesses, and additional restrictions in implementing the healthcare mechanism, to provide better care for vulnerable groups, and to ensure the departure of those stranded in places with disease outbreaks.
China made these decisions after the Communist Party (CCP) insisted on Thursday night on guaranteeing the control of the disease, but also the stability of the country’s growth and the daily life of the population.
