In his first trip to the so-called southern macro-zone since he took office in March, the head of State met with regional Governor Luciano Rivas, mayors, and victims of violence in the area.
He promised to improve infrastructures and services for indigenous and rural communities, build roads and five new markets, and provide the populations with drinking water.
In the area of security, he will implement a national plan to fight organized crime, confront timber theft and achieve greater control on weapons.
