With 17 gold, 15 silver, and 10 bronze medals, Vietnam topped the podium, followed by Indonesia (13-13-8) and the Philippines (12-13-8).
This year’s edition was attended by ASEAN’s 10 best sniper teams, made up of 420 members, who competed in the categories of machine guns, rifles, carbines, and men’s and women’s pistols.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, said it was a good opportunity to exchange experiences and boost cooperation to maintain peace, stability, and development in this area and the world.
The participation of all ASEAN armies shows the commitment to carrying out the common activities of this organization and the solidarity and friendship among the armed forces in the region, said the senior officer, who was quoted by VNA.
