According to the official, for Ukraine, the Zaporozhie direction increases its strategic importance in terms of offensive, provocations and probing of the Russian defense lines.

Therefore, it is also planned to transfer the liberated Russian forces from the Kherson direction to Zaporozhie, Rogov said.

That is why, as a result of Kiev’s steps, the defense line is being increased in Zaporozhie.

Rogov added that Ukraine plans to reach Berdyansk, capturing Vasilievka, Pologi and Melitopol on the way.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry completed the transfer of troops from the north bank of the Dnieper to the south.

As part of this operation, more than 30 thousand military personnel, about five thousand pieces of weapons and equipment, as well as material assets were withdrawn. Thus the Dnieper River became a military contact line.
