The National Health Commission stated that most cases are asymptomatic patients from Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, Beijing, Hohhot, and other localities, plagued by the spread of the virus since October.

With these statistics, China sums up at least 29,370 deaths and 8,771,347 infected in its mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, since the disease broke out in December 2019.

According to the Commission, 106,375 asymptomatic patients are also under medical treatment.

The regions affected by Covid-19 seek to contain the disease with almost daily PCR tests, mass lock downs, closing face-to-face classes and public places, and interrupting transportation and activities.

Beijing increased the number of test sites and reiterated its call to residents to stay in the territory and reduce going to crowded events.
