The Cuban minister posted on Twitter these new sanctions are illegal, violate International Law and constitute an open interference in Iran´s internal affairs.

The United States imposed on Tuesday punitive measures on companies and citizens it accuses of being involved in the production or transfer of Iranian drones allegedly used by Russia in attacks against infrastructure in Ukraine.

Iranian government spokesmen recently pointed out their country supplied drones to Moscow, but they were sent before the conflict in Ukraine.

Iranian military industries are already under heavy U.S. sanctions over Tehran’s nuclear development program.

On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdolahian said the U.S. government is acting hypocritically for claiming that the nuclear deal is not a priority, while privately contacting Tehran to close it in a hurry.
