Cuba expands ties with the world at FIHAV 2022

Havana, Nov 17 (Prensa Latina) The 38th Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2022) has allowed Cuba to expand its commercial ties with the world, Granma commented on Thursday.

The newspaper reported, for example, a meeting between Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero and officials and businesspeople from several countries who are attending the Fair.

As a result of this contact, the visitors expressed their willingness to expand and consolidate commercial ties with Cuba.

Marrero met with the deputy minister of Industry and Commerce of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Manothong Vongsay, who is heading a delegation of businesspeople who are participating in Cuba’s largest trade fair for the first time.

Vongsay conveyed the decision to deepen the issues of common interest, as a sign of those bonds of brotherhood that unite both peoples.

Marrero also met with the head of Strategic Planning of Honduras, Ricardo Salgado, who underlined the constant support of our country.

the prime minister also exchanged viewpoints with the director of the Department of Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Nikolai Kushnarev, and they recalled the many virtual meetings recently shared, as well as the history of cooperation between Cuba and the Commission.

The head of Government received the director of the Italian company Farma Venda, Vittoria Comini, which has been present in Cuba for more than 40 years, in sectors as heterogeneous as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, industry and food.
