The IOF broke into Ghaith´s residence, located in the Arab neighborhood of Silwan, the official Wafa news agency reported.

According to Wafa, Israeli soldiers searched and caused damage to Ghaith´s home.

On August 4, the Israeli Jerusalem District Court placed him under indefinite house arrest pending trial.

Since he took office in 2018, Ghaith has been arrested over 30 times by Israeli authorities, which prevent him from traveling to the West Bank and keeping contact with any Palestinian leader.
