‘In the Kupyansk direction, artillery fire and strikes by heavy flamethrower systems foiled an attempt to attack a Ukrainian motorized infantry company in the area of the Novoselovsky settlement,’ Defense Spokesman Igor Konashenkov commented.

According to the report, Russian troops also continued strengthening their positions in the direction of Donetsk and Yuzhnodonets, where they rejected an attack by a Ukrainian tactical group on the village of Pavlovka.

‘In addition, Russian units annihilated Ukrainian saboteurs in the area of Novodarovka on the Zaporozhie territory. During the day, the enemy suffered more than 40 casualties, as well as the destruction of three armored vehicles, one MT-LB multipurpose armored personnel carrier and four pickup trucks,’ the spokesman added.
