The onslaught against Belarus is due to its strategic location in the heart of Europe and the independence of its decisions and policies, said the president when receiving the chief executive of the European nation.
He assured that the West carries out wars to maintain its hegemony and always tries to ensure that these wars continue because otherwise, its system of domination is in danger of disintegration.
According to al-Assad, the United States and its allies have not been able to achieve their objectives through this policy in Syria, Russia, and Belarus, and therefore resorted to economic wars.
Uniting the efforts of these countries is fundamental to confront these wars, in addition to establishing a network of economic relations with nations that share the same principles and values, the Syrian president said.
For his part, the Belarusian prime minister delivered a message from President Alexander Lukashenko to al-Assad, which dealt with friendly relations and prospects for boosting bilateral cooperation.
The areas of cooperation with Syria are unlimited and we have prepared dossiers to establish a number of bilateral projects and exchange of products, Golovchenko said.
The senior official considered that the world is witnessing the biggest transformations since World War II and new alliances are being set up among countries that are adopting independent policies.
