According to this ministry´s daily report, these 25 active cases have a stable clinical evolution, so there are no serious nor critical ones in intensive care units.

Two medical discharges were granted on Saturday, and recoveries total 1,102,754. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, in March 2020, 1,111,368 cases have been reported.

Besides, no deaths were reported on Saturday, so the death toll remains at 8,530.

This favorable epidemiological result is due to the staggered vaccination campaign against Covid-19 as Cuba has administered 42,516,395 doses with homegrown vaccines Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, 10,000,888 people have been fully vaccinated, that is, 90.3 percent of the Cuban population, while 8,651,450 people have received booster shots.

Data from the National Statistics and Information Office indicate that at the end of March, 2022, the Cuban population totaled 11,105,814 inhabitants.
