Dengue cases increase in the Philippines

Manila, Nov 28 (Prensa Latina) Philippine health authorities confirmed the increase of dengue cases in the country with 196,728 patients and 642 deaths, reported from January 1st to the 5th of November.

By region, Central Luzon registered the highest number of cases with 38,640, followed by Metro Manila with 22,666 and Calabarzon with 16,575, specialists detailed.

Central Bisayas recorded 98 deaths, the highest number of deaths in the country due to this disease.

Central Luzon and Western Bisayas followed with 83 deaths, and the National Capital Region with 50.
