On Tuesday, Castillo will have a busy agenda, which began with laying a wreath at the monument to the liberator Bernardo O’Higgins.
Castillo told reporters that they came to ratify the commitment to this brotherhood, to this work for the most vulnerable peoples.
After the bilateral meeting, Boric and Castillo participated in a business meeting and in the 4th Binational Cabinet, the highest-level political-diplomatic instance, where they made commitments in five theme axes.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Labor, Culture, Health, Interior, Economy, Environment, Finance, Energy, and Mining.
Both countries signed agreements on border integration and development, inter-ministerial cooperation, culture, art and heritage, animal health and food safety, among others.
After penning the deals, both dignitaries headed a Chilean Post Office postmark ceremony to commemorate the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
