According to the press release, Zhaparov signed the law ‘On the ratification of the treaty between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on certain sections of the state border’, signed on November 3, 2022, in Bishkek.
It was also specified that the treaty defined the last 302 kilometers of the undescribed state border and that there are no longer any disputed sections between the two countries.
Kirgizstan and Uzbekistan intensified relations in 2017 after nearly a decade of marked cooling.
