Israel’s army keeps operating near the border with Lebanon

Beirut, Nov 30 (Prensa Latina) The Israeli army maintains operations near the Blue Line on the southern border with Lebanon, in preparation for the installation of a third defensive fence.

According to Al Manar channel correspondent Ali Shoeib, bulldozers belonging to Tel Aviv’s forces are carrying out demolition work for the third consecutive day in order to place a new iron fence along the division with occupied Palestine.

Through his Twitter account, the reporter confirmed that enemy crews are paving a military road to install another fence under the protection of a troop transport vehicle.

In the message, Shoeib emphasized that all these Israeli fortifications and maneuvers are taking place out of fear of the Lebanese Resistance and its growing military capabilities.

For several days now, Israel has been mobilizing its bulldozers and tanks in areas of the Hunin Valley on the Blue Line between occupied Palestinian territory and Lebanon.

In this context, the Lebanese Army’s Directorate of Guidance denounced new Israeli naval violations off the coast of Ras an-Naqoura and its follow-up in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force (Unifil) in the nation.

Through a statement, Lebanon reported the violation of a boat and a gunboat in territorial waters on the southern border, to continue hostile practices and the daily violation by sea, land and sky of national sovereignty.

Since 1978, Unifil was established in Lebanon to confirm Israel’s withdrawal from the south and restore peace.

Under Resolution 1701 of August 11, 2006, the international command supervises the cessation of hostilities and assists the Lebanese government in securing its borders and other points to prevent the entry without its consent of arms or related material.

Despite the expulsion from Lebanon in May 2000, Israel still holds the Shebaa Farms and Kafar Chuba Hills lands.

Both countries have been at war since the establishment of the State of Israel and over the years many crimes and attacks have been committed by the people of Lebanon in the face of Tel Aviv’s ambitions to seize the water of the Litani River and the oil and gas wealth.
