Some Western countries and EU representatives persist in misleading the international community about the use of these weapons by Syria and Russia, with the aim of distorting the image of these two countries, the Foreign Ministry said in a communiqué.

The press release added that they also intend to shamelessly cover up their exploitation of this dossier to serve their colonialist ends, and cover up the crimes committed by these countries against many peoples in the world.

These weapons were invented in Europe and used by some European countries and the United States in many parts of the world, the Ministry stated.

Syria affirms that in its history it has not used and will not use such weapons and that those who used them in this country are terrorist groups and Western intelligence services, and also rejects the use of these weapons anywhere, the Foreign Ministry concluded its statement.
