The South American country will assume this responsibility for the first time since the creation of this intergovernmental body in 2006, the Foreign Ministry told Prensa Latina.
Thanks to the Latin American and Caribbean Group accredited to this Geneva-based forum and to the representatives of the 47 member states, the statement said.
According to it, this election means recognition to Bolivia as a country that promotes dialogue and the culture of peace in the construction of fairer, more equitable and inclusive societies, and a sign of confidence in the Bolivian permanent mission in Geneva.
