The decision of ending the strike, voted by the demonstrators, does not mean the end of demands but the fact that they entered a new stage, which includes pressures on the National Assembly to achieve a debate on the situation of hopelessness of millions of workers in this Asian nation, according to a statement by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU).

In the statement published on its website, the KTCU ratified the legitimacy of the Parliament´s review of constitutional articles on this matter so that truck drivers are not forced to work under life-threatening conditions such as excessive time on the road.

It reported that the truck drivers are currently on their tenth day of hunger strike in front of the National Assembly building so that this institution modifies those articles and they can have access to basic wages, a fixed schedule, a legal and annual vacation or the right to severance pay.
