The NAK report, released during a meeting with Aleksandr Bortnikov, director of the Federal Security Service, pointed out that during 2022 plans to carry out 123 terrorist crimes were uncovered in their preparation stage.
The information pointed out that more than 400 Ukrainian nationalists were detained while trying to cross the border to Russia, and 1,026 individuals involved in terrorist activities were prevented from entering the country.
Likewise, more than 3,500 Internet resources publishing fake news about Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine have been blocked since February 2022. The joint activity of Roskomnadzor (media regulator) and judicial bodies contributed to strengthening the protection of the information space against the propaganda of terrorist ideology, the NAK information stressed.
Fl CAN noted the need to ensure reliable protection of infrastructure, first of all of social importance, as well as industrial, nuclear, fuel and energy and transport facilities, in view of the growing threat of acts of sabotage and terrorism.
