New Delhi, Dec 16 (Prensa Latina) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation on Friday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, with whom he reviewed cooperation in energy, trade, investment, defense, and security.

During the talks, the Indian prime minister reiterated his call for dialogue and diplomacy as the only way forward in the context of the current conflict in Ukraine.

Modi briefed Putin on India’s presidency of the Group of 20 (G-20), highlighting its important priorities, and expressed his desire that the two countries work together in that forum of the world’s largest economies and the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The two leaders also agreed to keep regular contacts.
