The patients were found in areas of the city of Port Sudan such as Kunwesani, Rifi El Ganab, and El Oleib, where emergency medicines and specialized equipment are in short supply, the sources said.

Authorities from Sudan’s Health Ministry reported recently that in various parts of the national territory the number of people with dengue and yellow fever increased, attributed to the spread of mosquitoes that transmit the diseases.
The proliferation of the harmful insects is due to floods that have occurred in Sudan in the last few days, as a consequence of persistent downpours.
