In statements to the Voice of Palestine radio station, the official criticized the plan proposed by the Prime Minister-designated by the neighboring nation, Benjamin Netanyahu.
Al Saleh stated that the strategy includes a ban on Palestinians from building in Area C, a territory that amounts to 60% of the West Bank and which is under full Israeli control.
In this regard, he criticized the systematic demolitions of Palestinian structures in these territories, on the grounds that they were built without permits, which are never granted.
According to official figures, some 490,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank and another 200,000 in East Jerusalem, which the UN and most of the international community consider occupied areas.
