This came out of a meeting held yesterday between the Venezuelan Vice Minister for Asia, Middle East and Oceania of the Foreign Ministry, Capaya Rodriguez; and the ambassador of the Asian State in Caracas, Ri Sung Gil.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest and exchanged points of view on the world situation, with emphasis on the scenario in Europe and Asia, as well as the complex situation in the Korean Peninsula, as a result of the constant interference of the United States in the region, said the source.
The diplomat highlighted Venezuela’s solidarity support to his country in times of siege by common enemies and delivered a letter from the DPRK State Affairs Chairman Kim Jong-un addressed to the head of state, Nicolas Maduro.
Rodriguez stressed the importance of continuing to fight for the full freedom of both peoples and the need to promote cooperation projects that allow the economic development of the two countries.
The officials agreed to deepen ties and in the near future to carry out visits that contribute to the growth of the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two peoples and governments.
In a letter sent to the secretary general of the Workers’ Party of Korea and published the day before by the press in Pyongyang, Maduro ratified Venezuela’s political support to the DPRK.
