In audio released on social networks, the Director General of Health Melissa Ramírez explained the confirmed mpox cases were males aged 21 and 73 years. 18.6% of them has traveled to other countries with symptoms such as headache, myalgia and fever, later presenting a rash or eruption.

Ramírez stressed Health Ministry continues to monitor the corresponding clinical progress, direct contacts, tracking and isolation of each confirmed case.

The Director General of Health asked population that in case of detecting injuries to their body or in the event of any symptoms, go immediately to see a doctor and have no direct contact with anyone.
