PSUV condemns U.S. involvement in Brazil´s insurrection

Caracas, Jan 9 (Prensa Latina) The first Vice-President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Diosdado Cabello on Monday condemned the United States is deeply involved in the Sunday´s coup attempt against Brazilian President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva.

During his Monday´s press briefing, Cabello considered the US condemnation of Sunday´s violent acts led by ultra-right-winger Jair Bolsonaro´s supporters as false.

Cabello considered that what happened in Brazil must be strongly condemned by the entire world, “but really condemned”, he said, in the sense that nobody can say that the U.S. government is more interested in Lula than in Bolsonaro.

Washington is more interested in Bolsonaro, “they proposed him (Bolsonaro) to invade our country, they know that Lula would never do it”, he said.

Brazilian president, with his world leadership, becomes a problem for imperialism, which hypocritically came out to sorry about Sunday´s violent insurrection.

They do not feel sad about anything, they are always deeply involved in all that, Cabello remarked.

On Monday, the PSUV strongly condemned Bolsonaro´s followers´ violent actions who stormed the headquarters of the three government branches in Brasilia.

The PSUV expressed in a statement its full solidarity with President Lula da Silva, Brazilian people, Workers’ Party and all democratic forces that recently won an exemplary victory in the presidential elections.
