According to the Humanitarian Aid Department at the Russian Reconciliation Center, based at the Hemeimim base in the coastal province of Latakia, the beneficiaries of the assistance are war wounded, relatives of fallen servicemen and vulnerable people.

Mayor Mohammed Husseirn Khalil expressed his gratitude and considered this aid as part of the effort of the Russian friends to alleviate the suffering of the villagers due to the economic blockade imposed on the town.

According to Moscow, the Russian Army’s assistance to Syria contributed to the liberation of 90% of its territory from terrorism.

In addition, more than 3500 humanitarian aid operations were carried out since 2015, during which about 600 000 tons of food, medicines and basic materials were delivered.
