Russian fertilizer exports grew in 2022

Moscow, Jan 16 (Prensa Latina) Russian fertilizer exports grew by 70 percent in the first 10 months of 2022, the customs service of the Russian Federation stated.

According to the official site, Russia’s income from this concept between January and October reached 16 billion dollars.

Although Russia reduced its exports to Europe due to the West sanctions, The Federations has redirected its fertilizer sales to other markets such as India, Türkiye and Vietnam.

Another element that helped strengthen the country’s position was the closure of plants in Europe due to the sharp rise in gas prices in 2022 spring.

This caused the rise in the values of fertilizers, specifically potash, allowing an increase in Russia’s profits.
